Terms of service

Welcome to Velocamp Mallorca. These Terms & Conditions govern your participation in our cycling camps and use of our website. By booking a camp with us or using our site, you agree to be bound by these terms. For camp participants, our Participant Waiver and Acknowledgement Form forms part of this agreement.

1. Bookings & Payment

• A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit (or full payment, if required).
• Final payment is due 60 days before the start of your camp.
• Prices are listed in euros and include specified services as stated in the camp description.
• If a participant fails to make payment within the required timeframe, Velocamp Mallorca may cancel the booking without refund of any deposit paid.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

• By the participant:
  
  • More than 60 days before camp: full refund minus deposit.
  • Less than 60 days: no refund.
  • You may transfer your booking to another person with prior notice.
• By Velocamp Mallorca:
  We reserve the right to cancel a camp in cases of force majeure, low participant numbers, adverse weather, safety concerns or operational reasons. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date (subject to availability). Velocamp Mallorca is not responsible for associated costs such as flights or ground transport.

3. Insurance

All participants must hold valid travel, accident, and medical insurance that includes coverage for cycling activities. Insurance must include:

• Emergency medical treatment
• Evacuation and repatriation
• Road cycling inc. high-intensity cycling and mountain descents
• Damage, loss and theft of bicycles
• Personal liability for injury or property damage

Velocamp Mallorca accepts no responsibility for losses arising from inadequate cover.

4. Health & Fitness

By booking, you confirm you are in good health and fit to participate in cycling activities. It is your responsibility to disclose any relevant medical conditions before the camp begins. 

Velocamp reserves the right to refuse or suspend participation if a participant presents a safety risk due to health, behaviour or physical condition. No refund will be offered if the participant has not disclosed relevant medical conditions or refuses to follow safety rules and adhere to participant responsibilities.

5. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

• Follow the guidance of our team and ride leaders at all times.
• Ride safely, within their limits and in accordance with Spanish road traffic law.
• Wear a certified helmet and ride safely and respectfully.
• You are responsible for your own equipment (bike, gear, etc.).

6. Changes to Itinerary

While we aim to deliver all advertised services, weather, safety, or logistical reasons may necessitate modifications to the itinerary. We reserve the right to make such changes as needed to ensure all participant safety.

7. Liability

Velocamp Mallorca is not liable for:

• Injuries, accidents, or health conditions during or after participation.
• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
• Travel delays, missed connections, or personal expenses due to force majeure events.
• Acts or omissions of third-party providers, including bike hire companies.

These Terms must be read together with the full Waiver of Liability set out in the Participant Waiver & Acknowledgement Form, which must be signed by all participants before taking part in any Velocamp activity.

8. Equipment

You are responsible for the care, proper use and return of any property or equipment belonging to Velocamp Mallorca that is issued to you during the camp. Velocamp Mallorca may recover from you the full replacement or repair costs for any such items that are lost, damaged or not returned in satisfactory condition. 

9. Use of Media

We may take photos or video during the camp for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in such media, you may opt out by notifying Velocamp Mallorca in writing before arrival.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Spain.
