ABOUT US
We established Velocamp Mallorca with a clear mission: to give everyday recreational cyclists a week that feels like they’ve stepped inside the pro peloton, with zero stress and all the support.
Based out of our stunning 7-bedroom Mallorquin villa with a pool in Alaró, the best cycling base on the island, our camp is designed around one thing: pure cycling immersion. From the doorstep, you will access the full sweep of Mallorca’s world-class roads — from the soaring switchbacks of Sa Calobra to the sunkissed coastline of Deià.

Every detail has been carefully thought out so that all you have to do is show up and ride. We take care of everything — airport transfers, full carbon road bikes with electronic gears and power meters, daily massages, chef-prepared meals, pro-level coaching, route guidance and support, kit laundry, and even your gels and suncreams!.
Our training weeks are capped at just 11 riders, creating an intimate, team-like atmosphere. You’ll share our exclusive villa, ride as a unit, recover together, and form friendships that last far beyond the final climb.
Each day includes a pre-ride briefing, individual coaching goals, and structured training led by expert guides. A support vehicle follows every ride with food, hydration, spares, and encouragement over race radios. Post-ride, recovery is king — with massages, stretching clinics, chef-crafted nutrition, and even an ice bath when needed.
Whether you come solo or with friends, we remove the guesswork, isolation, risks, and complicated logistics that often come with cycling abroad. This is your pro week — just without the contracts or pressure.

Meet Alex
I’m Alex, originally from the UK, and I’ve called Mallorca home since 2017. Like many people, I came here for the lifestyle, but it’s the mountains, the roads, and the pure joy of riding through nature that truly changed my life.
It was here, on the quiet backroads and epic climbs of the Tramuntana mountains, that I discovered my love for road cycling. What started as a way to stay fit quickly became a passion, and that passion grew into a dream: to build a place where others could experience the same magic of riding here that I did.
Velocamp is that dream come to life. It combines everything I love: performance, community, nature, and the rhythm of a week dedicated to nothing but the bike. I created this camp for riders like you, who want to feel stronger, ride smarter, and fall in love with cycling all over again.
Ladi Demko
When you arrive at Velocamp Mallorca, you’ll be coached by someone who has stood shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world. Ladi Demko is not just a cycling guide — he’s a former UCI Sports Director, WorldTour team performance lead, and one of the most experienced minds in professional cycling today.
With more than 20 years in the sport, Ladi has played a direct role in preparing elite athletes for the world’s biggest races — including the Tour de France, where he has worked five times behind the scenes with some of cycling’s most legendary teams and riders. He’s led race-day operations at the Tour Down Under, UAE Tour, and the Belgian Classics, and collaborated with top brands like Rotor, HED Cycling, and On Running on athlete development, sponsorship, and cutting-edge performance technology.
His career has taken him from the team car to the podium and back again, always focused on extracting the best from every rider — whether WorldTour professional or weekend warrior. He’s worked directly with the likes of Lance Armstrong, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish, and Wout van Aert, and remains a trusted resource in elite cycling circles.
A World-Class Coach, Now On Your Wheel
Ladi holds certifications in high-performance coaching, biomechanics, sports nutrition, and professional-level bike mechanics. He brings all of this into the camp environment — not through lectures or long PowerPoint sessions, but through meaningful, one-on-one interactions on the road, during recovery, and over shared meals.
He sees the small details others miss — a saddle angle, a poor cadence pattern, a misplaced effort on a climb — and knows exactly how to fix it.

Based in Mallorca, Born for the Bike
Ladi lives year-round in Mallorca and knows the island like the back of his hand — from quiet hidden lanes in the Tramuntana foothills to the legendary switchbacks of Sa Calobra and Coll de Sóller. He doesn’t just ride the routes — he understands how to get the best out of your body on them.
His rides are always planned with intent, effort, and progression in mind. And when the day’s riding is done, you’ll often find him sharing insights from the pro world — how races are won, how riders are trained, how bikes are built, and what really goes on inside a WorldTour team car during a mountain stage of the Tour.
What This Means for You
To be coached privately by someone like Ladi — with his credentials, experience, and background — would cost thousands. But at Velocamp, this level of insight and personal attention is included in your week.
From your day one FTP test to live ride coaching through your radio earpiece, from bike fit adjustments to recovery support and pacing strategy, Ladi will guide your week with a rare combination of elite knowledge and personal care.
You won’t just go home stronger — you’ll go home smarter, with a deeper understanding of how to train, ride, fuel, and recover like a real cyclist.
This isn’t just coaching. It’s mentorship from someone who’s helped build champions.

Mihai Budurin
Mihai currently practices in Palma de Mallorca, where he founded Objetivo Óptimo, a space designed to optimise the health, movement and wellbeing of each person.
He’s worked in both clinical and high-level sporting environments, accumulating experience in leading hospitals such as Quirón Salud, Juaneda and Hospital Verge de la Cinta, and collaborating with professional teams and national teams such as Palma Futsal, CB Imprenta Bahía (FIBWI Palma), the Spanish Hockey and Fencing National Teams, among others.
Mihai’s philosophy is simple: "movement is medicine". Each treatment is based on scientific evidence, adapted to the needs of each patient and focused not only on recovery, but also on improving performance, preventing relapses and achieving a more active and independent life.

Karina Carlson
Karina is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and food has always been her way of connecting with people. Her journey as a chef has taken her around the world—from private homes to yachts—always with the same mission: to create meals that bring people together.
Since moving to Mallorca, Karina has fallen in love with the island’s vibrant ingredients and the Mediterranean way of life. At Velocamp, she gets to combine two passions: nourishing others and being part of a community built on energy, balance, and passion.
At the villa, she prepares every meal with care—wholesome, flavorful dishes designed to fuel each ride and to be shared at the table. Her cooking draws on fresh, local produce and blends Mediterranean, Latin American, and international influences. The result is food that’s colorful, comforting, and made to be enjoyed together.
For Karina, food is never just fuel—it’s recovery, pleasure, and the heart of every shared experience.
